I'm fascinated by your take on Princess Bride - I have loved the movie for decades and read the book in high school and adored it; it's one of the few books I still have with me from then. Given how much both I and the world have changed in the intervening years, though, you're making me question how much my love of the book is rose-colored nostalgia...
I'm quite certain I also would have enjoyed it more if I'd read it years ago, but I was also so much less aware back then. Although I really didn't find Buttercup and Westley as likeable in the book either, so it's hard to say for sure. 🤷♀️ I'd love to know what you think now, if you decide to reread it.
It's amazing how much of a difference it makes when you have some time to yourself before the kids wake up in the morning isn't it. Just time to gather your thoughts before the chaos begins! Also love seeing the leaves fall and change colour, my favourite time of year 🍂. The book on feral self-care sounds so interesting, I'm going to look that up, thank you!
