I love/loved Anne with an E. Yep as you said, "This is my favourite TV series that was never finished."

I like to imagine the ending sometimes - especially for Ka'kwet. That particular story line felt so important, and I hate that it wasn't resolved.

I know! Feel the same! That part of the story was so hard to see, cause it was based on truth. I too needed to imagine an ending where she was retrieved and brought home.

I have a very dog-eared copy of Gaiman's Graveyard Book (love it). Thanks, as always, for the generous curation of your faves. Always fun to hear about.

I grabbed a copy off Thriftbooks for the inevitable (eventual) rereading! The narration on audio was wonderful, but I'm excited to go through the paperback at some point.

We've been on an Anne of Green Gables kick over here, too! Or rather, Corinne has - we were going to do the first as a read-aloud but they decided to just read it themselves and went all the way through number 4 or 5 before I stepped in and was like, "she's now an adult with adult problems, and you need to wait until you're older" (which of course pissed them off) but they've also read the graphic novel, Anne of West Philly, a queer retelling, and I don't even remember what else!

I already got a middle grade graphic novel version, but I'll have to look out for the one you mentioned! There's also another queer retelling in graphic novel form that's also middle grade, but it's just called Anne, and I'm going to see if I can borrow it from the library or snag it from Thriftbooks as well. And I'm not sure how different the Anne Chapter books by Kallie George will be, but I'm going to check those out too, if I can. I'm really excited to dig into them all. I somehow skipped over Anne of Green Gables as a kid.

I think I read the first one, but that's it. Yes, the queer retelling was a graphic novel, now that I think of it.

The Kallie George chapter books are super sweet! I got the first one from a thrift store years ago but recently requested the rest from the library and Linnea and I did them as our nighttime books for awhile.
