The chickens! The baby outfit! The pictures of the littles! The tattoo! All are perfection! I am having such a hard time keeping up with the poetry and the reading between Lisa's 100 Poems and Kaitlin's May Poetry. You would think I would have all the time in this season of unemployment but alas!
When I read the footnote, I immediately pictured David Tennant. I didn’t like Peter Capaldi initially either, especially because Matt Smith was my fav (maybe even crush worthy 😻) but he grew on me. I’m looking so forward to Ncuti!
I'm excited to give Capaldi another shot! I'm sure I'll get used to him. Even Tennant took me a while. Matt Smith was the easiest transition for me so far, and I think it's partly because of the writing, and because of Amy Pond, as well as his personality. I'm really looking forward to seeing both Whittaker and Ncuti as well. I'm not sure what to expect from either of them because I've been avoiding spoilers, but I have a feeling I'll enjoy them.
The writing was a little too obviously social justicy during the seasons I watched with Whittaker, but I was also really struggling with anxiety and couldn’t separate it from real world issues. That was a struggle for me. Which is definitely the writing, not the actor! She was fabulous and fun. We haven’t caught up since her second season I think. I might be in a better place now to try. But I do love the way they are trying to bring light to issues through fantasy

Thank you, Karri! I know what you mean, and I'm grateful to have you whenever you can find the time! 😊
Love your chickens and the baby knit - so cute! Yes, I too am looking forward to Kaitlin's poetry month too!
I'm so glad you'll be there again!

I actually tend to like things like that when other people feel like it's a bit much, so that makes me hopeful!
Echoing my adoration for your chickens (and your baby outfit is a close second). <3. Also, I hope you'll still be popping into 100 poems in May!!
Oh, yes! I plan to do both. Some might take me a bit longer depending on the prompt and my brain lol but I'm so excited to soak it all in!
Yay! I'm so glad your in for all of it. I hope you have double the joy+ :))
I'm so glad 100 Poems made it easier to get to May. I'm really excited for Kaitlin's prompts, too, and I am OBSESSED with your chickens! Omg!
It's been so wonderful! And I'm so glad that it will still be there after the rush of May poem-writing is over!
I'm so glad I came across your piece! 🧡
