Your new kitties are adorable, thanks for the intro! And it was so interesting to hear how they have helped you to learn more about your own needs. Furry little mirrors.
I had met and fallen in love with another little black female cat on my first visit there, but it turned out that she was a tripod (I hadn't even noticed when I met her that she only had three legs, and she was the first cat who seemed interested in saying hello to me) and they didn't want to send her to a home with a dog because she was still adjusting. When I asked to meet Kit, I didn't pick her for that specific reason, but I thought it was a cool coincidence that she seemed similar to the other cat in a number of ways, and I'm so glad we decided to bring her home. I know black cats don't always get adopted very quickly, which makes me so sad.

Yes! I suppose I've always identified pretty strongly with cats, now that I think about it.
They are so flipping cute. We really want an all-black female for our next cat (but we're maxed out at 3 right now) but Tabitha is also precious!
